Schools and One Tree Per Child in 2020

News article posted on 2 October, 2019

Get in early with an expression of interest to plant trees with us next year!

The global project aims to plant one native indigenous plant for every child aged under 18 years old between 2017 and 2021. Next year’s target has risen to 22,180 and we need your help to reach this goal.

Planting a tree is often a child’s first act of volunteering for their community and can lead to better health outcomes. It empowers children to recognise that they can make a personal difference in our community and local environment.

Greater Shepparton City Council will provide free indigenous plants, guards, stakes and weedmats along with planting equipment if required.

Let’s plant a tree for every child and enjoy watching the trees grow as our children grow
