The Adopt-a-Reach Professional Development Program is for teachers in Greater Shepparton to learn more about our local natural environment and how to engage students in an outdoor classroom - the river environment.
RiverConnect held a Professional Development Program on Thursdays afternoons in May 2014.
Teachers from eight schools in Greater Shepparton participated in the three sessions. Topics covered included:
- What is RiverConnect
- The local Environment
- Indigenous History
- The Natural Environment - Sustainability and water
- Educating for sustainability.
